The Club has now moved to new grounds, at Checkendon,

As South Stoke, the club had a number of years of continuing success including reaching the senior and county cup finals.
 

Formerly known as South Stoke, the Football Club moved to  Checkendon in January 2008 and later changed their name to Checkendon Football Club.

They narrowly avoided the drop last year and it could be another tough.season ahead.

Checkendon are approaching the new season with a little trepidation,  as a large chunk of their side has gone travelling around the world.

From Reading direction take A4074 toward Oxford/Wallingford. ~2 miles after Cane end and just after Oratory School entrance on left is a right turn to Checkendon village - ground is on the right after the pub.

On the A4074 to Reading from Wallingford/Oxford after about 4.5 miles turn left at well signposted Checkendon sign (just after left turn to Woodcote) and proceed to Village - ground is on the right after the pub.
