bannercolourThe Goring, Woodcote & District Lion Club are a small, rural club, Chartered in 1981 by our 'Mother' club, the South Chilterns Lions Club, who are our neighbouring club and cover an area south of the Thames.

We currently have 21 members but our membership has fluctuated between 9 and 28. Our membership, by invitation, is fully open to males & females. We also have some couples who are members, although the majority of partners do not join, but still help out in most of our events..

LionLogoLarge_tnWe manage a full programme of Community Service support and our Fund Raising efforts over the years have generated substantial sums. One annual event being the Woodcote 10K.

Our Charitable programme exists so that we can put something back into our community, but we still like having fun, and consequently our Social Calendar is usually full. As a club, we belong the the family of Lions Clubs International and some of our fund raising receipts are sent to overseas Lions Clubs to assist in many varied projects.
