Event: ‘The Big Lunch’ Street Party
Joining Goring with Streatley
The limit of 3200 seats for the Street Party has now been reached. Any further requests will go onto a reserve list.
However there may be some flexibility in this once we have done the detailed planning, so please do continue to apply prior to the closing date.
Date and Time: 12.00 noon to 4:00 pm 3rd June 2012
Location: Goring and Streatley High Streets, including the bridge in between

Details:
Both Goring and Streatley High Streets, including the bridge, will be closed between 10:30 am and 7:30 pm.
So we will possibly have the longest Jubilee street party in England, spanning two counties of Oxfordshire and Berkshire!
Tables will be provided, you only need to bring your own chairs and lunch (or buy food and drinks at our Local Outlets). There will be roving musicians & street acts for your Entertainment.
The Goring Gap Business Network has volunteered to run “The Big Lunch” Street Party joining Goring with Streatley, Oxfordshire with Berkshire, neighbour with neighbour.
This will be a fantastic opportunity for residents of both villages, young and old alike, to join together and celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee. Everyone is encouraged to come along and help make this party the loooooongest street party in England.
The streets and shops will be adorned with a our own Special Decorations and a carnival atmosphere will prevail. We would like to invite ALL residents of both villages to join in.
For the latest number of seats still avaialble see the Jubilee Notice Board on the wall outside of Mary S. The latest situation to date is we have 3200 seats booked,
Now we reached 3,200 any additional requests for table space will go onto a reserve list. The closing date for reservations is 7 May 2012.
If you are interested in booking table space for you, your family, neighbours, friends, street, club or any local organisation, then please register as soon as possible. as we need to carefully plan in advance
There are 4 ways to reserve an allocated space for your party:
- Using the forms which will be available in Swift Ink, Crystal Moon, Inspiration and Goring Hardware.
- Email Dawn Roberts at ggbn.vice-chair@goringgap.co.uk
- Fill out the online form which can be dowloaded as an Adobe PDF File.
- Forms have been delivered to all households. Just fill it in and return as soon as possible.
