Goring and Streatley's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations 3rd June 2012
Event: Carnival Procession of Decorated Floats
Date and Time: 4.45 to 6.30pm, 3rd June 2012
Location: Assembly & Starting Point - Streatley High Street and Streatley Meadows. Destination - Cleeve Road, Goring. Then returning to Streatley Meadows.

The carnival is set to parade through Streatley and Goring, after the Street Party is over. Everyone is invited to participate - whether a company, a local business, a club, group, village activity, school or a group of lively individuals.
The Procession provides an opportunity for individuals, clubs, organisations and businesses to show their colours!
Dressed lorries & vehicles, trailers, horse-drawn carriages, carts & wheel barrows.
Patriotic Pets Don't leave your pets out of the Jubilee! Dress them up and march with the Goring Vets float in the carnival procession. Starting assembling at 4pm in Streatley Meadows. Best dressed pet will win 1 year's worth of pet food (Restrictions will apply: Maximum of 100kg of a commercial diet). Please try to enter before the day, drop into the surgery to register as entries on the day could be limited.
At 4.30pm there will be the Judging of the Floats. Afterwards the Floats will proceed across bridge to Goring. On arriving at Gardiner Recreation Ground the procession will pause for refreshments and display. It will then return via the same route back to Streatly Meadows.
All are welcome to make this a terrific Diamond Jubilee Carnival. Start thinking now what you could do to take part - using all different kinds of transport from your legs, bicycles, wheel barrows to small lorries!
