Goring & Streatley Local History Society

If you are interested in finding out more about the past of our two villages and the history of the surrounding area, why not join our Society? We hold monthly talks on a variety of topics and organise outings. Members receive a journal packed with fascinating articles each year, as well as bulletins about Society activities.

The Society has a significant archive of historical material and welcomes help in obtaining information about the two villages and their inhabitants. Members are also encouraged to undertake research projects.

The Society’s Transport History Group organises separate activities relating to boats, trains, cars and planes, usually in the Thames Valley but sometimes further afield.

Annual subscription 2010/2011
£10 for individuals or £15 for all members of one household
